Everyday Essentials

Do you ever use something during the day and think to yourself, “I don’t know what I would do without this”. There are so many material things I want in my life but a short list of things I can’t live without and I need to share these with the world. Below are the exact items I use and where to find them! These will also be necessities for our van when we travel. I will add more as they come to mind so please check back for updates 🙂

Toiletry Bag

I go to the gym every morning before work and I get ready for the day in the locker room. I don’t know what I would do without this toiletry bag. It’s small enough to fit in my gym bag and hangs perfectly on the shower door. It not only fits my shower essentials, but there are pockets on the side where I put my makeup, a comb, and extra hair products. This also comes with me on every trip I take. It keeps my products upright and is also water-resistant. This is a must to have when traveling.

Simple Modern Summit Water Bottle

I’ve tried many insulated water bottles and this is the best one I’ve found. Ryan bought these for us before taking our trip to see the arches in Utah and I’m so glad he did. It is vacuum insulated stainless steel so it kept our water cold all day during our hikes in the Utah heat. It doesn’t sweat and is perfect for cold or hot drinks. It comes in 14-84 oz. Personally, I have the 40oz in white shimmer color called, Shimmer: Selenite (pictured in the center).

Neutrogena Body Clear Scrub

When you get home from doing something active when you’re little, your first thought isn’t to take a shower. I developed back acne when I was very little and it made me very self conscious. I never wanted to wear a swim suit or even a tank top. I have been using this body scrub everyday in the shower and the back acne went away. This scrub is oil-free and gentle on your skin.

Madera Hammock

If you like to be outside or travel at all, a hammock is a must! Whether you like to read books or just sit and enjoy nature, hanging one of these in the middle of two trees is so serene. Madera not only makes durable hammocks, but they have plenty of other outdoor adventure gear for hiking and camping. What makes them even better is they plant two trees for every hammock sold!

Food Chopper

This food chopper has been a life saver in our house! You simply put whatever you want chopped on the grates and push down on the top. We have the one from the link but there are so many options out there. If you cook meals at home, this is a must have in the kitchen. Its fast, easy, and safe!

Leggings

If you are active at all, these are the best leggings for you. I have them in summer fig (pictured), black, cloud dust, and antique rose (clearly, I like them a lot!). The pocket is perfect for my phone when I’m at the gym. No more cords getting ripped out of your ears when they get stuck on something. These are also my go to when doing anything active outside. They are high waisted so they keep my stomach in and they are super stretchy. They don’t pill and are not see through at all! For reference, I’m 5’3 and 120 pounds and I get the size small and they fit perfect.

Reusable Grocery Bags

Find it here!

If you are like me, you don’t want to take more than one trip to bring all your groceries in. These bags are super durable and can handle a lot more weight than a regular plastic or paper grocery bag. The straps are even long enough to hang the bags on my shoulders so I don’t have to carry them all by my hands. I’m all about sustainability and saving the environment so I love these bags. They come in plenty of colors but of course I have purple 🙂  Some grocery stores even give you extra points or money off your purchase if you use these!
